Veterinary Technician Wanted:
Upscale, Morris County, small animal hospital seeks experienced Veterinary Technician for a four doctor practice. We seek an intelligent, charismatic, organized individual with well-developed technical skills who enjoys interacting with clients and their pets. Our technicians work closely with our clients and represent a trusted part of our medical team.
American Animal Hospital is a dynamic 4-doctor practice located near Morristown, New Jersey. Our hospital has served the community for over 30 years and has a very established clientele. We practice high quality medicine and several of our doctors practice holistic and alternative medicine as well. Several doctors are certified in Veterinary Acupuncture who augment traditional medicine with acupuncture, biopuncture, P.R.P. and herbal therapy when needed. Our clients expect the best when it comes to patient care and client service. Our hospital is furnished with state of the art equipment including a surgical laser (in use over 10 years), flexible endoscopes, video otoscopes in exam rooms and treatment area, ultrasound, digital radiology, digital dental x-ray, most advanced IDEXX chemistry, electrolyte and CBC machines and complete surgical suite with continuous blood pressure, pulse ox, and ECG monitoring.
We are looking for an outpatient technician to serve as the primary technician for our hospital’s owner (DVM). This technician will be the “right hand” to the owner and work closely to take care of his patients and assist him with day to day operations. This technician should be comfortable drawing/taking samples (blood/urine/fecal), speaking/educating to clients, taking x-rays, and excellent with medical documentation.
We are also seeking an in-patient technician. This technician should be experienced with surgery, dentistry and moderate nursing care. While typically routine surgeries or dentistry, one will need to be self motivated, a multi-tasker, and have attention to detail.
